"offline" track creation

Postby bandito » Fri Feb 06, 2009 10:11 am

I would like to make the gates at home, because often at a trackday you can not go to the right place on the track (it is dangerous). I would like to make the track file at home (by Google Map coordinates or from other navigation softwares). Is it possible? If yes, please tell me the way.
Thank you.

No, currently it is not possible to do that, sorry :(

We might add some support software for that, for PC, or perhaps online via a web service later on but it is not on the priority list at the moment.

That's sad!

BTW, the gate width, what's the unit, metres or?

What's the suggested setting of gate width when:
standing/driving in the middle of a start/finish straight on a 10 metres wide track?

I take it the GPS position is not exact if one's moving, and the error can in worst case be doubled by the next passing?

What would the maximum error be in th case above, with your recommendation, in metres? So one can calculate the max, speed/lap/section error?
